The Dominants will resist –
powerfully.
They will wonder what the fuss is all about.
For them there is no problem,
nothing to solve,
nothing to fix.
Their culture is invisible to them;
it is the water in which they swim,
the air they breathe.
The Dominants are offended
when their culture is made visible,
when it becomes an option
rather than the way things are.

I’m getting crazy excited for the Popular Culture Association’s 2013 conference. How do I pick between going to sessions on Skyrim/GTA/other mods and going to sessions on furries? Or the Korean wave? I lamented about this “problem” on Twitter, and the PCA responded to me, saying, “Get a Time-Turner.”
I’m going to miss academia. ♥

I’m TA-ing for COMM 3431: Persuasion Theories this semester. My first job was to go through all the embedded Moodle links to make sure they’re still live. This was the first page I actually stayed on to watch/read the whole way through. I’m simultaneously incredibly interested and incredibly terrified.
